Dr Mark Leaper, Senior Lecturer in the Pharmaceutical Technologies Section, has obtained a £285000 grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to examine unwanted powder agglomeration (caking) in partnership with Unilever Research Port Sunlight. The project will last two years and use Atomic ForceMicroscopy (AFM) to look at how powders change at the nanoscale under humid conditions. See link for more detail.
