Pharmaceutical Technologies

The Pharmaceutical Technologies Group is one of three principal academic groups within the Leicester School of Pharmacy, De Montfort University. The School is located in the Hawthorn Building, within the historical Newarke area of Leicester, close to both the city centre and the canal district.

The Group specialises in pharmaceutics (the science of designing medicines and drug delivery systems), the technology used to manufacture medicines, and methods for analysis of the properties of medicines and their component materials. There is an active research ethos in the group and many staff particpate in consultancy, as well as running bespoke training courses for industry. The groups provides teaching to undergraduates on the Masters in Pharmacy degree and the Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree.
